Amazon Mechanical Turk is a marketplace for work that requires human intelligence. This means tasks that computers and algorithms can’t do. With MTurk, workers have a selection of thousands of tasks to complete whenever it’s convenient for them. Each task is called HITS (human intelligence tasks). And you get paid per hits.
The average is said to be only $2 an hour. Only 4% of workers earned more than $7.25 an hour. But others claim that you can make much more. I’ve found with my experience that $9-$12 an hour is pretty attainable once you have spent about a month working on this platform. Within two to three months, you can begin earning $25+ if you follow these time-tested Mturk strategies.
