Twitter celebrates Trump’s first 100 days with the savage burns you’d expect

We're closing in on the first 100 days of the Trump presidency, even though it's felt more like 100 years since the inauguration. SEE ALSO: Even Trump's Earth Day message was anti-science Pundits are now trying to gauge where the president falls on the success scale, from "SAD!" to "BIGLY!," for this somewhat important but still kinda arbitrary milestone. But Twitter users have another talent: using these types of events to unleash some pithy burns. And #TrumpsDay100Songs—song lyrics and titles twisted for a more Trumpian feel—don't disappoint. The next time you’re thinking of planning a quirky first date, don’t

In an earlier time, first dates were delightfully simple affairs: you'd tell a few stories, drink a few drinks and stare at the other person's face until you could assess whether they were hot enough to marry. That time is dead. And it's been replaced by something even more menacing: the "quirky date," which typically happens on the first date or at least in the first trimester of a relationships. Subjects who plan "quirky dates" often do so because they are desperate to convince potential partners that that they are fun! unique! and not your typical lawyer! Few of us want to go on quirky dates, no matter how much we profess otherwise. It's a crappy trend that needs to die, even though it shows no signs of going anywhere. Read more... Lightning McQueen rediscovers his love of racing in the ‘Cars 3’ trailer

Lightning McQueen may have some miles on him, but the Cars franchise is still going strong. Pixar has just unveiled the first full trailer for Cars 3, which pits an aging McQueen against a younger, sleeker competitor, Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer). SEE ALSO: Summer movie preview: What to watch if you're an action connoisseur There's something amusingly meta about the trailer's focus on "branding" and "legacy," considering this is the latest entry in a massively successful franchise. But by the end of the spot, McQueen's started to rediscover what it is he loves so much about the sport – and, spoiler alert, it's not all the "stuff" that comes with it. Read more...
